The intellisense and other coding-assistance features in JetBrains’ IntelliJ IDEA are awesome, but detecting mis-spellings is too much of a good thing in my opinion. I don’t like unnecessary squigglies in my beautiful code.
Here’s an example.
Way too many squigglies! Fortunately JetBrains makes it easy to disable or at least modify the IDE’s Spelling Inspection sensitivity.
Settings -> Project Settings -> Inspections
Then disable the “Typo” checkbox. Or take a less severe approach and disable typo inspection of comments and code literals, leaving both “Typo” and “Process Code” checked.
