NixMash Spring Post Permalinks and Editing Highlights

NixMash Spring Posts move ever forward with the addition of permalinks and post editing support. We’ll briefly describe the updates here for those of you who have forked NixMash Spring or anyone following along at home.

Each post in the stream now has a permalink icon and an icon to the source of the post if it’s a Link post type (circled).

Here’s the new permalink display with url structure /posts/post/[post-title]. If the user is the post’s owner (same UserId as the post’s UserId) an [Edit] link is displayed below the post (circled).

The Edit page is a scaled down form with the ability to update the Post Title and Content.

On [Update] the user is returned to the Permalink page where the temporary Spring “Post Updated!” feedback message appears for a few seconds. At that point, if the author is like me, they’ll want to re-read the post yet another time and probably return to the Post Edit form one or two more times until they’re happy with the post. LOL.
