Jangles JAX-WS Web Client Project Online

The Jangles JAX-WS Web Client Project accompanies the Jangles JAX-WS Service Project and is available for download on GitHub. The Jangles JAX-WS Web Client is intended to demonstrate accessing JAX-WS web services using various technologies like JSP, PHP and Javascript. For its initial release we are demonstrating how to use JAX-WS with JSP pages running in Tomcat.

Here is the project layout of the Jangles JAX-WS Web Client in IntelliJ IDEA.

One issue to mention in setting up the project is that the servlet-api library shown in the External Libraries area was imported from my Tomcat/lib folder, so you would need to do something similar to support .JSP functionality.

The reference to the Jangles JAX-WS Web Service WSDL was made with the IntelliJ WSDL functions. I right-clicked on a project structure object and IntelliJ did the rest.

Here is our /web/WEB-INF/web.xml.

The Jangles JAX-WS Web Client Project contains two demonstration .JSP files.  Both perform the same functions but with slightly different logic.

And the output of the above .JSP page in the Jangles JAX-WS Web Client Project.
